Lexington, KY -- Andy D. Waters, president and CEO of Community Trust and Investment Company (CTIC), is pleased to announce that Jeffrey S. Thomison has joined CTIC’s wealth and trust management team as vice president, senior equity manager and strategist.

As a key member of the wealth and trust management team, Thomison is responsible for managing the overall equity strategy, including analyzing individual common stocks, mutual funds and fixed income securities. In addition, he will manage individual portfolios according to our clients’ objectives. His office is located at 100 East Vine Street in downtown Lexington, Kentucky.

With more than 30 years of experience in the equity arena, Jeff will be an integral part of the leadership of our investment department, said Andy D. Waters, president and CEO of Community Trust and Investment Company.

Thomison earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration (B.B.A.) from the University of Kentucky with a major in finance and a minor in mathematics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®), which is the highest designation one can receive in the financial industry. He also holds his Series 7, 16, 63, 65, 86, and 87 licenses.

Thomison has gained regional and national attention for his credentials. He has been featured in publications such as Ticker, BuySide, and Wall Street Transcript and has appeared on CNBC and Bloomberg TV. He is also a four-time winner of Wall Street Journal’s Best on the Street national stock picking award.

He grew up in Madisonville, Kentucky, currently resides in Louisville, and plans to move to Lexington in 2019. He is actively involved in the community and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
