Patton Leadership Inspires and Engages Lawrence County Community

Lawrence County, June 5, 2023 – On June 1, 2023, Patton Leadership Institute had an eventful day including a fascinating tour of the Big Sandy Power Plant, an engaging discussion on “The Power of Positive Leadership” with Casey and Sabrina Lequire, and insightful conversations with industry experts Catrina Cargo from Sullivan University Learning Center (Louisa) and Amanda Clark, External Affairs Manager at Kentucky Power Company. The day concluded with an unforgettable tour and tasting experience at Savage Farms Winery.
 
The Patton Leadership class, known for its commitment to empowering individuals and organizations through effective leadership strategies, descended upon Lawrence County with a mission to inspire and engage the local community. The visit commenced with a fascinating tour of the Big Sandy Power Plant, where participants witnessed firsthand the marvels of modern energy production. The immersive experience provided valuable insights into the power generation industry, fostering a deeper understanding of the vital role it plays in supporting local communities.
 
Continuing their pursuit of knowledge and personal growth, the class engaged in a stimulating conversation centered around “The Power of Positive Leadership.” Facilitated by Casey and Sabrina Lequire, the discussion explored the transformative potential of positive leadership and its impact on individuals and organizations. Participants eagerly absorbed the insights shared, gaining practical tools and inspiration to apply in their own leadership journeys.
 
Throughout the day, the Patton Leadership Institute class met with distinguished individuals who contributed significantly to the Lawrence County community. Catrina Cargo, representing Sullivan University Learning Center (Louisa), engaged participants in meaningful dialogue, offering valuable perspectives on educational opportunities and fostering professional growth. Additionally, Amanda Clark shared her expertise on community engagement and the vital role of corporate responsibility in driving positive change.
 
The day concluded as the group visited Savage Farms Winery, the participants indulged in a variety of exquisite wines and learned about the art of winemaking. The visit to Savage Farms Winery offered a serene and enjoyable setting for reflection, further strengthening the bonds within the Patton Leadership class.
