Southeast Kentucky Chamber Host Successful March Membership Meeting

Pikeville, KY (March 17, 2023) – The Southeast Kentucky Chamber recently hosted their March Membership meeting on March 16, 2023, at the Garfield House in Pikeville. The event was well-attended, and members were excited to come together in-person to connect, learn, and discuss current issues affecting the business community.
 
During the event, attendees got to hear from guest speaker, President and CEO of One East Kentucky, Colby Kirk. He provided insight into current economic development initiatives and answered questions from the audience related to topics such as site selection, workforce development, and their upcoming downtown projects.
 
“Our membership meetings are an excellent opportunity for our members to network, exchange ideas, and gain valuable information that help them navigate the current business climate,” said Jordan Gibson, president and CEO of the Southeast Kentucky Chamber. “We want to thank everyone who attended and contributed to making the event a success and we are looking forward to seeing them next month.”
 
The next Chamber membership meeting will be Tuesday, April 4 at noon, in the Garfield House. The meeting’s guest speaker is Kentucky’s Secretary for Economic Development, Jeff Noel. Jeff previously served as the long-time vice president of communications and public affairs for Whirlpool Corporation, where he was responsible for the company’s global external and internal communications, government relations, public affairs, and business travel departments.
 
The Southeast Kentucky Chamber hosts monthly meetings to provide a platform for business leaders and community members to network and stay informed about the latest developments in various industries.
 
The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is located at 178 College Street in Pikeville and serves more than 500 businesses in eight Eastern Kentucky Counties: Floyd, Johnson, Knott, Lawrence, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, and Pike.
